Orthographic projections. Multiviews, auxiliary views and section views. Dimensions and tolerances. Working drawings. Design applications. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is used for 3-D modelling and 2-D drawing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Outcomes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of this course, you will be able to:<br>1. Draw simple technical sketches;<br>2. Develop 2-D and 3-D models using SOLIDWORKS;<br>3. Develop multiple-views of 3-D objects based on orthographic projection;<br>4. Develop section views and auxiliary views of 3-D objects;<br>5. Understand fundamental manufacturing processes and describe the relevant information in technical drawings;<br>6. Define dimensions and tolerances based on design and manufacturing requirements;<br>7. Model typical mechanical components such as threads, fasteners, springs and gears;<br>8. Develop working drawings with assemblies and bill of materials; and<br>9.
