Select hardware and software systems with the required functions for computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing, and computer aided engineering (CAD\/CAM\/CAE);<br>2. Model geometric information of mechanical products, including 3-D parts, assemblies, and 2-D drawings;<br>3. Develop customized CAD systems with additional design functions;<br>4. Model complex shapes including freeform curves and freeform surfaces;<br>5. Identify manufacturing processes from product geometry through computer-aided process planning;<br>6. Implement CNC programs for milling and turning machining operations;<br>7. Create geometry of the product from a CAD model through rapid prototyping;<br>8. Evaluate product design through finite element analysis and motion analysis;<br>9. Identify design parameter values through optimization; and<br>10.
