Marc Ereshefsky is professor of philosophy at the University of Calgary. His research areas are philosophy of biology, philosophy of science, and metaphysics.

Marc’s research often focuses on issues at the boundary of philosophy and biology, for example, the nature of biological species. Such research has implications for biological science, our understanding of scientific practice, and metaphysics.

Besides conducting research, Marc teaches undergraduate courses and mentors graduate students.
