<\/p>\n\n\n

Marc Ereshefsky was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.\u00a0 He has a BA in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, and he earned his MA and PhD at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.\u00a0 Elliott Sober was his PhD advisor.\u00a0 After graduate school, he held two post-doctorate positions.\u00a0 One was a post-doctorate fellowship with David Hull at Northwestern University.\u00a0 The other was a Mellon post-doctorate fellowship at the University of Washington, St. Louis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc Ereshefsky came to the University of Calgary in 1991 and is currently a professor of philosophy there.\u00a0 Since 1991, Marc has trained fortteen PhD and eight MA students.\u00a0 He has supervised four post-doctorate fellows and been an external examiner for five PhD students at other universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc Ereshefsky has been a visiting researcher at the Center for Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh (1994), the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge (1999), the Philosophy Department, CUNY Graduate Center (2013), and was a visiting researcher at Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur la Science et la Technologie (CIRST), Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al in Fall 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc is married to Ayala Roudstein.  They have two sons and a dog.<\/p>\n\n\n
