RE: Update on Release of Offers, Waitlists, and Regrets

Dear Applicants,

I hope this message finds you well.

The Office of MD Admissions is prepared to release offers of admission for positions at the Southern Alberta Medical Program (SAMP) – Lethbridge Campus this afternoon.

As in previous years, offers will be distributed first, followed by notifications for the waitlist and, subsequently, regrets.

We recognize that this is a significant and often emotional moment for many of you. Regardless of the outcome, we want to acknowledge the time, effort, and personal investment that each of you has made in pursuing a career in medicine and in applying to the University of Calgary.

For those who receive an offer, we ask that you carefully review your offer letter in full and respond; either accepting or declining, in a timely manner. This consideration is important in ensuring fairness and respect for your fellow applicants as the process moves forward.

We anticipate releasing offers for the Calgary Campus in the early part of the week of May 11th. The same process and principles will apply.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all applicants who expressed an interest in the University of Calgary. The strength and caliber of this year’s applicant pool made the selection process both highly competitive and deeply meaningful. We are equally grateful for the tireless efforts of our MD Admissions staff and the extraordinary guidance and commitment of the Admissions Committee throughout this process.
