Re: Scheduling interview dates

Dear Applicants,

I’ve just been made aware that the interview scheduling application within UCAN is not working properly. Once again this appears to be a IT issue on the vendor side and they have been made aware. They initially anticipated a quick fix but now have informed us that it may take longer than anticipated.

In addition, there are many applicants that have been able to schedule but have not received a confirmatory email. The vendor can not tell us whether these interviews have actually been scheduled.

Therefore, we have made a decision to halt the process and restart when the IT issues have been resolved. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE DOING AN ENTIRE RESET AND APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO REBOOK EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE SECURED AN INTERVIEW.

The office will be sending out an email to update you when the scheduler will re-open to be fair to the entire applicant pool.

We understand your frustration as we are sharing this at this time. Our upgraded system was supposed to alleviate any of these problems but we continue to encounter problems at every critical step. For this we do apologize.

On a separate note, I have just taken a quick look at the popular blogs. Although I appreciate the frustration and disappointment, I would hope that as an applicant to medicine you could demonstrate patience and understanding. Some appear to be lacking those two attributes.
