Dear Future and repeat applicants,
Over the next 4 weeks we will be putting the “finishing touches” on the last application cycle and looking forward to welcoming applicants in the next cycle. A few important things to remember.
1. The Office of MD Admissions is here to help you through the application process and to make it as smooth as possible. Our expectation is that you have done some of your own research. Therefore, if you are interested in applying the first step is to read through the Applicant Manual. The 2019-20 Applicant manual can be found here:
It contains the majority of the information that you will need. It is updated every late June/July with subtle changes so when you are actually applying look for the most up-to-date version.
Major changes, as they refer to GPA calculation have already been posted on the University of Calgary Calendar found here:

2. We will still require the MCAT. We made a decision on Friday to extend the deadline for the sitting of the MCAT. We will now accept scores for sitting up to and including September 12th, 2020.. However, do not release your scores to us before the opening of this years cycle which will be the first week of July.
3. On this blog you will find useful updates and tips. However, this blog should not be used to ask general admission questions. These should be directed to ucmedapp@ucalgary.ca.
