We’re seeking motivated undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers to join our team in Geosystems Modeling for Clean Energy Resources. Our research focuses on developing sustainable geo-energy systems through modeling and simulation, optimizing coupled systems performance, and conducting techno-economic assessments with uncertainty quantification. We’re particularly interested in applications related to Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and low-carbon geo-energy resources development, as well as subsurface energy storage.
If you have a background in geoscience, engineering, computer science, physics, or applied mathematics, and are passionate about tackling complex energy challenges, we’d love to hear from you. Potential projects could include:
- Modeling and optimization of CCUS systems for efficient carbon sequestration
- Techno-economic assessment of low-carbon geo-energy resources development
- Simulation and analysis of subsurface energy storage systems
- Uncertainty quantification and risk analysis for geo-energy systems
