Good evening to all applicants,
I hope you have had a wonderful start to 2025. This is the time of year where the Office of MD Admissions once again goes into high gear.
Overview of this years cohort:
1964 applicants have had a complete review of their application and this includes 1534 Albertans and 430 Non-Albertans.
We had a few late reviews (both general and academic) but these were completed at the beginning of last week .
We are glad to report that we have received the highest number of applications from our indigenous community in the history of our program.
Sadly, this year we also have received a record number of files that were flagged by reviewers. Due to the number of these flags and the follow-up required, we are approximately one week behind our schedule from last year.
The good news is that the ranking is now complete and will be presented to the AdCom on Feb 3rd for final discussion and approval. We anticipate that invites will go out late the morning of Wednesday February 5th, with the interview scheduler opening the next day.
We will be increasing the number of invites to the interview to a target of 665 this year.
