The Surveying and Geomatics Educators’ Society or SaGES promotes the effective teaching and learning of surveying, mapping, geomatics (engineering), and other geospatially related disciplines. SaGES is a forum where academia, industry, and government work together to exchange ideas, promote common causes, and provide opportunities to improve the surveying and geomatics education.

The upcoming 28th biennial SaGES conference is to be held on the University of Calgary campus in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 16-20, 2023. The previous two in-person conferences were at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon (2017) and Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, Louisiana (2019). In 2022, a virtual event was run in lieu of the cancelled 2021 in-person conference.
